The Helios was similarly a minute and eight seconds faster than the Supersonic at drying our hair after a swim, offering a total dry time of 1 minute and 50 seconds. This meant our hair was rough dried in 1 minute and 6 seconds and is an absolute game changer. The Helios took an entire minute off this time. Until the Helios, the Dyson Supersonic was the fastest dryer – taking our hair from wet from a shower to completely dry in 2 minutes 6 seconds. Not just in comparison to the Air, but when pitted against the drying speeds of every hair dryer we’ve ever tested. When it comes to speed, the Helios similarly smashed it out of the park. It is noticeably less loud in real-world use, and when measured with a decibel meter, it’s a whole two decibels quieter than the Air. We’ve already confirmed it’s lighter, but does it live up to the other claims? Yes – very much so! Its motor is marginally more powerful – up from 2,100w on the Air to 2,200w – and the holes in its grille have apparently been redesigned to reduce noise. GHD claims its Helios is “faster, lighter and quieter” than the Air. A feeling that even its elegant colorways and smooth shell can’t quite counteract.Įverything else, including the placement of the two-speed and dual-temperature switches, the cold shot button and the branded grille are almost an exact copy and paste from the Air. The Helios’ light weight, by contrast, feels just like many of the other cheaper hair dryers on the market. The extra weight on the GHD Air made it feel expensive and sturdy, which helped us to rationalise its high price. What’s more, where – on paper – it’s heavier than other dryers we’ve tested, the Helios is incredibly well-balanced so it doesn’t feel any more bulky and it isn’t any more difficult to use. Weight-wise, the Helios is lighter than the Air tipping the scales at 780g compared to its predecessor’s 1.54kg. The different colored versions of GHD Helios’ plastic shell are additionally covered in a thin coating that feels almost like silicone to the touch and this gives the dryer a smooth, luxurious feel. It also comes in maroon and gold, black and silver, and navy and black. However, reviewers tend to be distracted by comprehensible content, say, a random text copied from a newspaper or the internet. Think of a news blog that's filled with content hourly on the day of going live. In a professional context it often happens that private or corporate clients corder a publication to be made and presented with the actual content still not being ready. As Cicero's text doesn't contain the letters K, W, or Z, alien to latin, these, and others are often inserted randomly to mimic the typographic appearence of European languages, as are digraphs not to be found in the original. While lorem ipsum's still resembles classical Latin, it actually has no meaning whatsoever. Its words and letters have been changed by addition or removal, so to deliberately render its content nonsensical it's not genuine, correct, or comprehensible Latin anymore. Lorem ipsum is mostly a part of a Latin text by the classical author and philosopher Cicero. It helps to outline the visual elements of a document or presentation, eg typography, font, or layout. It's also called placeholder (or filler) text. Lorem ipsum is a pseudo-Latin text used in web design, typography, layout, and printing in place of English to emphasise design elements over content. Katakana is very unlikely to appear as a single character in Japanese text, but hiragana could. Lorem Ipsum: Quality typographic filler text for webmasters People use WhatsApp desktop or web to share files from the computer system, write longer and bigger messages because of the ease of the keyboard, or to use only a single device to access WhatsApp while working on the desktop or laptop. It does not work independently of WhatsApp on the smartphone and requires the phone to be charged and connected to show real-time messaging. WhatsApp web syncs with the mobile application to show real-time messages on both devices. The web version and the desktop application are extensions of the mobile application and mirrors the chats from the mobile app once synced. Zoom, while great for calling, is still cumbersome for chats and other features that WhatsApp offers freely and easily. Viber, Signal, WeChat, Telegram, Skype are all communication applications but do not have the reach or the flexibility of WhatsApp, so they are limited in their communication via free messaging or calls. However, iMessage is limited due to its connectivity only with iOS users and does not have the number of features that WhatsApp offers. The ease of use in WhatsApp is much higher though, and the ability to connect with anyone whom you’re not connected to via Facebook (or to do not wish to be), is a big plus for WhatsApp.Īnother messaging or communication application is iMessage, which allows free messaging via text from an Apple iOS to another. Messenger is linked heavily to the main Facebook app, with reactions on stories going directly through Messenger. Interestingly, WhatsApp is also owned by Facebook, but the difference is that while Messenger users the Facebook login details to sign in, WhatsApp connects via the address book on the phone. Facebook Messenger offers a chat-based communication application, linked to Facebook. There are a number of alternatives to WhatsApp, and one can compare them by features. There is also a WhatsApp application for the desktop. The application is primarily a mobile application, with a web version now available for browsers. It is compatible with Android, iOS, Mac, and Windows PC. What is WhatsApp compatible with? Whatsapp is available for free across devices. One can share location, contacts, and use Live Location for directions. End-to-End encryption allows for safe and reliable communication. With WhatsApp web and desktop, users can now sync across devices and always be connected. WhatsApp allows users to chat, create groups, broadcast to custom lists, make audio and video calls through the internet, share stories, share media (pictures, video, audio), send voice messages, forward messages, use emoticons (and gifs) and more. Whatsapp is a messenger that allows people to connect with anyone who has the application on their smartphone. Whatsapp revolutionized communication of the world by bringing chat to the mobile phones, linked to the mobile number, instead of an email id. Remember the pre-WhatsApp era, when communication on chat-based applications was mainly done through computers, and texting at a cost was the only way to communicate if one doesn’t want to call. It is a chat-based application that also has features for video or audio calling through the web. WhatsApp can be downloaded from the Apple store or Play store. The app is available on the mobile, both Android and iOS, as a web version for the browser, or as a desktop app for the computer. For those following along at home, we will be sticking to the basic template. Once obtained, the artifact kit comes with one basic template and 3 implementations that attempt to bypass AV sandboxes in some way. Given the prominence of host-based detection systems, executable files come under great scrutiny and customising these payloads can help greatly in staying undetected or delaying the incident response. This means that any time the default psexec lateral movement technique is used, for example, a payload from the artifact kit can be used. The kit can be used to create custom payloads that will be employed by CobaltStrike whenever a payload such as a dll, regular exe or service exe is required. Raphael Mudge, the creator of CobaltStrike, offers a great introduction to the use of the Artifact kit in this video. This kit is available to licensed CobaltStrike users and can be obtained at. One of these options is the use of the Artifact kit to customise the payloads CobaltStrike generates. The Artifact kitĬobaltStrike offers many options for customisation. As such, there will be no associated repo. As Syswhispers uses MASM syntax for the generated assembly, we will be working through the minor changes required to compile the artifact kit on Windows using Visual Studio.Īs the CobaltStrike Artifact kit is not available for public download but requires a license to access, I will not be sharing any of the source code of the kit, but will be limiting myself to a more general approach for this post. Specifically I will be implementing the excellent Syswhispers tool by jthuraisamy. In this blog post I will try and give a basic introduction to the CobaltStrike Artifact kit, as well as detail the implementation of using direct syscalls over Windows API functions to bypass EDR solutions. Adamson took three selections off 1993's Oedipus Schmoedipus in various spots, including its hit single "Set the Controls for the Heart of the Pelvis," a string-laden, psychedelic, gospelized fingerpopper co-written with and featuring Jarvis Cocker. "007, A Fantasy Bond Theme," from 1992's Soul Murder, combines fat swinging brass, West Indies-patois narration, skanking reggae and ska rhythms, and razor-wire surf guitars, woven through a warped take on the original Bond theme. While the closing cut from his widely acclaimed 1989 debut Moss Side Story - a jagged cover of Elmer Bernstein's title theme for The Man with the Golden Arm - opens this set it's followed by the Atticus Ross-produced "Jazz Devil" from 1998's As Above, So Below with its swinging B-3 and horns accompanying Adamson's humorous Beat and lounge lizard narrative. The tunes are sequenced aesthetically, creating a seamless - though jarring - listening session. Noir cinema has always been a muse its inspiration is the thread that ties this music together. Memento Mori looks back on his 40-year career that, while astonishingly consistent, has branched off in several musical directions. Along the way, he's released nine studio albums as well as singles and EPs. Adamson has also directed films, including the acclaimed 40-minute feature film noir Therapist. He's written and arranged for Nitzer Ebb, Ethyl Meatplow, Scott Walker, and Simple Minds, to name a few, and has contributed music to soundtracks like Derek Jarman's The Last of England, David Lynch's Lost Highway, Allison Anders' Gas Food Lodging, and Oliver Stone's Natural Born Killers. He played on synth pop albums by Visage and Pete Shelley. He was an integral member of Magazine and the founding incarnation of Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds. By paying less than $100, you’ll get three powerful 120mm fans from Corsair that come with stunning RGB lights and cooling performance. It’s better to buy a pack of 3 if you have made up your mind for these fans. Lastly, these are not the cheapest case fans to get right now. If you need more silence, then consider going with the Corsair 140LL 140mm size fans that are roughly $8 to $10 more expensive than Corsair 120LL. Overall, Corsair 120LL is much quieter than its competitor fans from Thermaltake and Cooler Master. But if you are not too sensitive to fan noise, then there’s no need to worry about the noise. But we’ve found this fan to be a bit louder at mid-range speeds. So, you can expect this fan to be quieter under heavy workloads. In addition to this, the listed dB rating of this fan is around 24.8 dB at peak loads. Corsair LL120 comes with 120mm fan blades with an RPM range between 600-1500 rpm. The vibrant RGB lights on this fan make it a great deal for RGB gaming cases. But, the Corsair LL120 RGB case fan brings style plus performance in a single package. We know that going just after the glowing RGB lights doesn’t make a fan perfect for cooling down your PC. If you want to improve airflow inside your PC case without putting a hole in your wallet, then we’ve tested some of the best budget PC case fans in this guide. So our advice would be to stick with smaller size fans that make less noise and promote high airflow. Also, smaller size case fans would make less noise as compared to bigger-sized fans. But 240mm fans are a bit expensive, and you should only go with these when you are building high-end gaming machines with bulky peripherals inside.įor now, a 120mm or 140mm case fan would be enough for an average gaming or workstation PC. In addition to these, you’ll also come across 240mm case fans that are bigger and move more air as compared to 140mm fans. 140mm case fans, however, are quieter and push more air inside your PC case as compared to 120mm fans. 120mm case fans are cheaper and standard for most PC cases. Some PC cases have vents for both 120mm and 140mm fans. So, you should know which type of fan would fit your case. Most PC cases are readily compatible with 120mm or 140mm case fans. Even if you are tight on budget, you can shop for the best cooling fan to get optimal thermal performance.īut before picking PC cooling fans for your machine, there are certain things to keep in mind. Also, PC case fans are incredibly cheaper as compared to other PC hardware. But the truth is, PC case fans bring more performance by lowering the temperature and preventing any damage to your hardware. Whenever you build a gaming PC, you hardly pay any attention to the case fans. Hexadecimal Codes can represent ASCII, UTF-8, or more advanced encoding schemes. Other means such as lines, colors, letters or symbols. Morse Code can be recognized by the typical pattern: small groups of short and long signals. Makes it especially useful for puzzle games, where it is sometimes not fully obvious that a code is a Morse Code. Morse Code is a highly reliable communications method, that can be transmitted in many ways, even during difficult and noisy environments. It consists of letters (about 50% uppercase and 50% lowercase), as well as numbers, and often Not seldom willīase64 is easy to recognize. Basically it can be used to encode anything into printable ASCII-characters. It uses four 5x5 squares to translateīase64 is another favorite among puzzle makers. Pair of letters in the ciphertext depends on a pair of letters in the plaintext. The four-square-cipher was invented by the French amateur cryptographer Félix Delastelle. Depending on the orientation of the squares, horizontal or vertical, the cipher behaves slightly different. It is stronger than an ordinary Playfair cipher, but still easier The two-square cipher is also called "double Playfair". It uses a combination of a Polybius square and transposition of fractionated letters to encrypt The Bifid cipher was invented by the French amateur cryptographer Félix Delastelle around 1901, and is considered an important One of the more difficult variants is the double transposition cipher, which is equivalent to applying two columnar Many can be solved manuallyīy paper and pen. It is then read out line by line from the top.Ī lot of different transposition cipher variants exists, where the text is written in a particular pattern. The railfence cipher is a simple form of transposition cipher, where the text is written in a "zig-zag" pattern. The columns are chosen in a scrambled order, decided by the encryption key. In a columnar transposition cipher, the message is written in a grid of equal length rows, and then read out column by column. It is a polygraphic substitution cipher, which encrypts pair of letters instead of single letters. The Playfair cipher was invented in 1854 by Charles Wheatstone, but named after lord Playfair who heavily promoted the use of the cipher. This cipher is similar to the Vigenère Autokey cipher, although it subtracts letters instead of adding them. The Beaufort Cipher is reciprocal (the encryption and decryption algorithms are the same). Subtracted from the key letter instead of adding them. It is similar to the Vigenère cipher, but uses a different "tabula recta". The Beaufort Cipher is named after Sir Francis Beaufort. Instead it begins using letters from the plaintext as key. It encrypt the first letters in the same way as an ordinary Vigenère cipher,īut after all letters in the key have been used it doesn't repeat the sequence. The Vigenère Autokey Cipher is a more secure variant of the ordinary Vigenère cipher. Gronsfeld ciphers can be solved as well through the Vigenère tool. The Vigenère cipher is an improvement of the Caesar cipher, by using a sequence of shifts instead of applying the same shift to every letter.Ī variant of the Vigenère cipher, which uses numbers instead of letters to describe the sequence of shifts, is called a Gronsfeld cipher. Despite being called the Vigenère cipher in honor of Blaise de Vigenère, it was actually developed by Giovan Battista Bellaso. The Vigenère cipher was invented in the mid-16th century and has ever since been popular in the cryptography and code-breaking community. To use Atbash, you simply reverse the alphabet, so A becomes Z, B becomes Y and so on. It is believed to be the first cipher ever used. The Atbash Cipher is a really simple substitution cipher that is sometimes called mirror code.

This story is a great book to teach high frequency words and for those students who are in the transitional period of reading. This story could relate to anyone who wishes they could bring their dog to school! I like how Biscuit finds his way by himself as he takes on his very own adventure. The story was cute because it showed how determined Biscuit was to find his way to school even though his owner wanted him to stay home because she knew he would not be allowed at school. I liked it because I love animals, especially dogs. What will happen when the teacher finds Biscuit in the classroom? He sees the school bus coming, but he is told to stay home because dogs don't go to school. Then we can take their pictures and make them into a little book of sound words.īiscuit is so excited to go to school. I can have them take their sound words and draw a picture to go with them. I can also ask them to come up with their own sound words. I can read through the book once, then we can read through it again looking for sound words and we can find all the sound words and talk about them. I can also use this book to teach my students the idea of sound words or onomatopoeias. Not to mention, it would have to be a therapy dog. I could bring in a dog, but that would require getting the principal on board. I can help them with words they are struggling with. The words are simple and I can have them read the book to me aloud. I can use this book to teach kids to read. I can also use this book to get kids interested in dogs more interested in reading. I can use this book to give my struggling readers something they can use to practice reading without being overly frustrated. It's not much of a challenge, but I still love these books. Biscuit is soooooo adorable and the little girl's hair is so pretty! The colors are bright and pretty and the words are fairly simple. This is a great book for a struggling reader to get practice reading something that won't frustrate them. He does every one of these things even though he is not technically supposed to. He wants to play ball at recess, listen to a story, go to lunch, and meet the teacher. Even though dogs are not allowed at school, Biscuit wants to go to school. Usually it’s less convenient than sorted () - but if you don’t need the original list, it’s slightly more efficient. It modifies the list in-place (and returns None to avoid confusion). It’s a great way of starting your thriving coding business online. You can also use the list.sort () method. I’ve realized that professional coders tend to use dictionaries more often than beginners due to their superior understanding of the benefits of dictionaries. Using list.sort () Lists have only one special method: bash list.sort (, keyNone, reverseFalse) By default, sort () performs an A-Z-style sort, with lower values on the left. Guido, the creator of Python, hated the filter() function! You can use different function to sort different data types in Python. That’s far more efficient than using the filter() method proposed in many other blog tutorials. In this article, you’ve learned how to filter a list of dictionaries easily with a simple list comprehension statement. Sort List by Dictionary values using emgetter () with sorted () This method uses the itemgetter () function from the operator module along with the sorted () function to sort the list based on the values of the dictionary. All dictionaries in lst that don’t meet the condition are filtered out. Short answer: The list comprehension statement creates a new list of dictionaries that meet the condition. Sorting is probably one of the most researched areas of Computer Science, so we won’t dive into the philosophy. In this article, you’ll learn how to filter a list of dictionaries. It’s normal for me to share a brute force method followed by a couple more elegant methods, so take care to skip ahead if needed. Today, I want to focus on sorting a list of dictionaries.Īs always, I like to share many possible solutions. In this article we will discuss how we can sort a dictionary. In any case, we always have to start with data processing. Sort function is one such function for a dictionary in python. Note that since score is a string value, it needs to be converted to float for comparison. to sort the list of dictionaries by key age, name (like in SQL statement ORDER BY age, name), you can use: newlist sorted( listtobesorted, keylambda k: (kage, kname) ) or, likewise. For instance, maybe older individuals prefer certain colors, or perhaps younger individuals have certain types of names. 4 Answers Sorted by: 11 You can sort by a tuple: sorted (l, keylambda k: (float (k 'score'), k 'id'), reverseTrue) This will sort by score descending, then id descending. That way we could plot them in order of increasing or decreasing age to see if we could spot any trends. Likewise, order of the data might matter.Īs an example, we could order our data points by age. However, be aware that this sort method is case sensitive. In other words, we have our data, but we might want to use a subset of it. csvmappinglist):minindex):csvmappinglistminindex'Age'csvmappinglist'Age':minindex, csvmappinglistminindexcsvmappinglistminindex, csvmappinglisti 'Favorite Color' In both cases, the list will be sorted alphabetically as the values are strings. Of course, having the data in a nice format and actually using that data for visualization are very different problems.
